This Vespa Trip will guide you through Tuscan cities wellknown around the globe. On your way you can enjoy the famous vineyards of the region.
Our first Vespa Trip, in 2015, was organised in Tuscany. For obvious reasons. From the moment you leave the city, you find yourself in the middle of the most beautiful landscapes Italy has to offer. In this region it would be difficult to find a boring road.
Every village and city you encounter is precious. Some of them are hidden pearls, others are known around the globe. Each day, we'll take you through a different landscape. From the stretched farmlands around Pisa, through the hills of the Chianti region and the mountainous area around Lucca to medieval cities like Siena and Florence.
Our Giro Classico starts and ends in Pisa, the daily trips are always between 70 and 120 km. Every day you can choose to drive the routes on your own (using our road book & GPS), or you can follow our guide to drive completely carefree.
The hotels you will be staying at during your road trip in Tuscany have been carefully selected for their ideal location.

THE VESPA TRIP EXPLAINED
your own vespa
To ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible, you will take care of the administrative details on Monday so that on Tuesday morning you can receive the keys to your Vespa. Anyone who chooses to take a 'Start-to-Vespa' class (€ 50) will already receive the scooter on Monday. When you get back to Pisa on Friday you will return the Vespa.
You will need a driver’s license for a normal car (B) or a motorcycle license (A). The license AM is not accepted. You need to be 18 to drive the Vespa's, but minors can always join as passengers. If you're a European citizen, your national license is sufficient, but if you're from outside the EU, you will need an international one.
Never driven a Vespa before? Not a problem! We offer the option to arrive early in the day (preferably before noon) and take a Start-to-Vespa course (+50€ per Vespa). Our guide will explain you the tips and tricks of driving a Vespa and make a calm test drive the day before the trip actually starts.
If you prefer to drive The Vespa Trip at your own pace without following our guide Mario, you can reserve a GPS that will be mounted on your Vespa. You can get your GPS when you receive your Vespa and it costs €30.
Every morning you can enjoy the included breakfast. At the places we stop for lunch we recommend you the best spots and for dinner, you'll be invited to join your fellow Vespa trippers or you can ask your guides for good restaurants in the area.
Our very muscular colleague, Luigi, will take care of your luggage. Every morning, he will put all your suitcases in our van so that he can drive them to the next hotel.

What about the insurance?
You are automatically insured for all damages to third parties. You will be asked to block an amount on your credit card to insure any damage to your own Vespa. You will be able to choose between different insurance policies after your registration.
We recommend that you take out a cancellation insurance, it doesn't cost much and it can potentially save you a lot of money.
If you can no longer participate, but you can find a replacement, you must send all the necessary information no later than 7 days before the departure date so that we can change the reservation free of charge.
If you take out a cancellation insurance and you apply to the conditions, you will be reimbursed for your trip (with the exception of the cancellation insurance costs).
If you have not taken out a cancellation insurance and you wish to cancel your trip, you will receive a maximum of 50% of the total amount in case you let us know more than 4 weeks before your departure date, 25% if you contact us 2-4 weeks before your departure and 0% if you let us know less than 2 weeks before the departure date.
We also offer travel insurance that helps you in the event of an accident on the spot.
